NEER Bikepack to the Beach

$65.00

Must be a NEER member to register due to insurance requirements (this keeps the price much lower doing it this way).

Saturday, August 1-Sunday, August 2: Enjoy a fun mixed terrain ride to and from camp which is located in Salem, within a short walk of the beach! There is space at camp for a non-riding friend/significant other to drive to camp and enjoy the atmosphere with all who are bikepacking.

We’ve reserved the campground for Saturday and Sunday (to ensure the reservation at this time of year when campgrounds are in high demand) so if riders want to enjoy camp on Sunday and return later in the day Sunday or even Monday morning, this is fine.

Everyone is expected to bring your own food, water, shelter, and supplies to fix flats and other common mechanicals.

What you get: lessons and experience building a campfire, the opportunity to pack your bike and figure out how to carry everything you need on your bike and body. Make food over your camp stove or the fire, experience your sleeping system, how does it work for you? This is also a nudge to get the equipment and get the supplies you need so you’re ready for any bikepacking trip in the future!

This is not a catered experience though you will be with experienced bikepackers and supportive fellow riders.
